The Fliedner Krankenhaus in Ratingen-Lintorf exists since 1973, a facility of the Theodor Fliedner Stiftung. The clinic with 235 beds enjoys a beautiful scenic location and is nevertheless near the town. It is easily reached from Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Essen, Mülheim and Ratingen.
The Fliedner Krankenhaus unites inpatient, partially inpatient and outpatient forms of treatment "under one roof". It offers a broad spectrum of differentiated aid and community proximity for individuals with psychological disorders. Offers and help are individually configured according to the personal needs of every patient (individual therapy planning). Physical causes of mental disorders are diagnosed as such and excluded or treated.
Depression, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, psychoses and disorders from organic brain changes are also included in the spectrum of therapy as well as psychiatric disorders in old age, which can also be accompanied by mental confusion.
The complaints of many patients have no physical causes (e.g. eating disorders, anorexia, bulimia, overweight, pain sickness, functional cardiovascular or gastrointestinal complaints, buzzing noises (tinnitus) in the ear, etc.). They are then the physical expression of professional burdens and/or psychological conflicts.
Individuals with alcohol and drug dependencies are treated in our centre for addiction therapy. If required, a seamless transition to rehabilitation can take place from the qualified drug withdrawal and motivation treatment.
